Our community has some spots for anyone interested – some paid, some not. Free accomodation and 3 daily vegetarian meals, as well as private health insurance and access to a community car, are all part of the compensation package.

We are often looking for the following on-site positions, some immediately, and some for a later stage as some of these positions are currently already being held by others in the community.

  • Social Media Manager: A skilled social media manager contributes to maintaining a positive online presence, advertises our events (f.e. retreats) and various offers (f.e. volunteers for olive harvest) to different audiences (volunteers, students, community members, digital nomads, etc) online (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) using tools like CanvaPro, Meta business suite, and MailerLite. They will also maintain our newsletter as well as pre-event communication to guests.
  • Community Manager: This role involves engaging with community members, responding to inquiries, and facilitating discussions. A Community Manager is responsible for building a positive and interactive community atmosphere, implementing strategies to enhance engagement, and addressing concerns or feedback. They act as a bridge between the community and the organization, ensuring that the community’s needs and expectations align with the goals of the entity they represent.

  • Bookkeeper / Accounting Assistant This is a paid part-time position (approx 10 hours/month). This role involves overseeing our preparatory accounting and organizing financial documents. The Bookkeeper is responsible for collecting and sorting invoices, preparing records for tax purposes, and maintaining accurate financial overviews. This position offers flexibility; you may live further away in Crete, provided you can be physically present every two weeks or once a week (depending on the need) to coordinate with the team. Fluency in Greek and good English are required. 
  • Vegetable Garden Manager oversees the planning, cultivation, and maintenance of vegetable gardens to ensure optimal productivity and sustainability.

  • Maintenance Manager: This role involves overseeing maintenance operations, managing a team of technicians, and developing preventative maintenance programs. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining equipment, addressing repair needs promptly, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The maintenance manager works closely with the cleaning crews. Fluency in Greek is an advantage. Good English are required. 

Generally, any skilled and experienced craftsmen/women are more than welcome. There is a lot of work in our permaculture project and in the various construction programs for the next five to ten years.
