Role: The Hand / The Gears of the Machine
Commitment: 6 Hours / Day
The Mission: You are the architect of Agape’s efficiency. You turn the “Mind’s” vision into productive action, ensuring that every hour of labor is impactful and every resource is accounted for. Currently, you are focused on building the foundational systems that will allow our community to scale and, eventually, host international university student programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead the daily “Morning Breakouts,” assigning tasks to volunteers and residents, and supervising the workflow to ensure the community remains productive and on schedule.
- Resource Gatekeeping: Act as the ultimate owner of all community tools, vehicles, and hardware accounts. You manage inventory with a “zero-loss” mindset and ensure equipment is maintained and respected.
- Systems Development (The Academic Future): You will help design and implement the tracking systems, safety protocols, and reporting structures required to launch our future University Partnerships and student internships.
- Financial & Safety Integrity: Manage small-spend approvals, collect and digitize receipts, and ensure all legal, insurance, and safety paperwork is signed before any work begins on the land.
Who You Are (Requirements)
- Experience: Proven background in operations management, logistics, or project coordination. Experience in a “startup” environment where you had to build systems from scratch is a major plus.
- Traits: You are highly organized, reliable, and comfortable being the “Hard Stop” when it comes to safety protocols or budget discipline.
- The Step-Up Spirit: You are a hands-on leader. In “Scenario B” moments (when admin tasks are low), you lead by example, joining the field team in the olive groves or assisting with heavy lifting.
- Languages: Good English is required. Fluency in Greek is a great advantage for coordinating with local vendors, hardware stores, and authorities.
Living in Community (Residency)
- Physical Presence: This is a full-time residential role. You are required to live on-site at Agape Crete and be a physical pillar of the community.
- Beyond the 6th Hour: While your professional “managerial” shift is 6 hours, your life at Agape is 24/7. You are an active neighbor who participates in community rituals, shared meals, and the social fabric of the tribe.
- The Agape Way: We look for people who value deep human connection and see the stewardship of the land as a personal calling, not just a job description.

Technical Stack
- Administration: High proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
- Project Management: Mastery of Trello for task tracking and milestone management.
- Internal Systems: Primary user and tester for our “In-House Management Software,” providing feedback to the CTO on bugs and efficiency.
