A Journey into the Sacred Heart of Crete
This is a rare opportunity to bridge the gap between formal retreat practice and the living world. Following our Tummo retreat, we invite you to deepen your experience by joining our teachers for a unique 4-day pilgrimage.
This is not a standard tourist tour, but a fully immersive practice journey into the soul of the island with unlimited and unfiltered access to our three teachers. This is a unique opportunity to ask questions and dive deeper into the teachings in a relaxed setting.
Together with Geshe Sonam Gurung, John Jackson, and Dr. Amchi Khedup Loden Gurung, we will travel to powerful spiritual and natural sites, using the land itself as a support for contemplation.
Our Approach: A Pilgrimage, Not a Tour
This itinerary has been mindfully designed to minimize travel time and maximize time for practice and reflection. We return to the stability and quiet comfort of our home base in Amiras each evening, allowing for deep rest after our days of exploration.
The Daily Rhythm To ensure a deeply immersive spiritual experience, our days are woven with continuous practice:
- Three Daily Meditations: We ground our experience with guided sessions in the morning at Amiras, on-site at a sacred location, and each evening upon our return.
- Spontaneous Teachings: Our teachers will offer insights and commentary as we travel, connecting the history of the land to our inner path.
- Historical Context: We are accompanied by a professional local guide who shares the history and mythology of each site in English.
- Evening Q&A: We gather nightly to discuss the day’s experiences and clarify teachings.
- Mindful Cuisine: We honor our principles with three delicious vegetarian Cretan meals daily (breakfast and dinner at Amiras, lunch on the road).
